Calcutta CTE 200DC

Shimano’s Calcutta CTE 200DC reel can be used on a number of fish species ranging from bass to barra.

Recently awarded the Best Reel at the Australian Fishing Tackle Association’s annual trade show, the CTE 200DC has a one-piece forged aluminium body, a super free-running aluminium Lo-Mass drilled spool, 10 A-RB bearings and one stainless steel roller bearing.

A notable feature of this reel is the Digitally Controlled Brake, a program that calculates the amount of time and brake needed to prevent overrun, which is assessed at 1/1000 of a second intervals. There is a choice of eight settings, and braking power can be adjusted to suit long or short casts.

The CTE 200DC holds 115 metres of six kilogram line and has High-Efficiency Gearing with a large diameter Super Duralumin Drive Gear, Super Stopper and Assist Stopper anti-reverse, Quickfire 11 casting assistance, graduated click adjust drag settings, Power Grip knobs and a 5.0:1 gear ratio.

Energizer Hard Case

Whether you are working around the home or out on the boat, hard wearing tools are a necessity.

Designed to withstand a nine-metre drop, the new Energizer Hard Case Series range of torches are chemical resistant with stainless steel plates and a shatterproof lens.

The Energizer Hard Case Series comes in four sizes: the Hard Case Lantern, the 2D Hard Case Flashlight, the 4AA Hard Case Flashlight and the 2AA Hardcase Flashlight.

The Hard Case Lantern is the largest in the range and offers a two-position stand for two-way lighting. It takes four D-size batteries and can survive a 4.5-metre drop. And if you drop it overboard, no problem, it is waterproof and floats.

The 2D Energizer Hard Case Flashlight is slightly smaller and is operated using two D-size batteries. It can survive a 6.5-metre drop. Similarly, the 4AA Energizer Hard Case Flashlight has also been drop-tested to 6.5 metres and is lightweight enough to be stowed in a toolbox or glovebox.

The slim and compact 2AA Energizer Hard Case Flashlight has a LED light and is ideal for storing in desk drawers for small jobs. It has been drop-tested to nine metres.

CM800i and CM850i

Coursemaster has announced the addition of two new autopilots to its range.

The CM800i and CM850i autopilots both feature intelligent self-tuning software that continuously monitors the autopilots’ performance and the self-tuning adjusts to boat speed, sea conditions and trim.

The Coursemaster rate gyro compass also works to maximise course-holding accuracy and minimise the effects of acceleration, roll and pitch.

The combination of these features allows the autopilot to steer a more accurate course with less rudder movement, which results in lower power consumption and wear and tear on the steering system.

Both pilots are suitable for either power or sailing vessels from six metres to 40 metres.
