Sea Ray’s baby Sundancer
Sea Ray has reinvented the
smallest model in its line of cruisers, the 240 Sundancer.
Set to replace the existing 240 DA, one of the more notable differences
between the two is the seating configuration.
The helm seat is to starboard and is a single seat/bolster, with
a flexible companion seat. The companion seat is adjunct to the
helm seat, but has no back, allowing the passenger to sit forward,
aft or to the side.
At the transom there is another bench seat for two and inside
the cabin is a V-berth, with a removable filler cushion so it can
become a lounge. Insert a table and it becomes a dinette for four.
For trips away, the mid stateroom has a double berth with its
own privacy curtain, a fully enclosed head with shower, curtain,
portable toilet and vanity with sink. The water system comes standard
with a freshwater transom shower, a dockside water inlet, 20-gallon
water tank and six-gallon water heater.
The 240 maintains its signature look with its high gloss black
coral finish at the helm station and SmartCraft instrumentation,
with low-glare blue night lighting, chrome bezels, a four-in-one
gauge and system tacho.
Standard power is a pair of 260hp 5.0-litre MPI Bravo III MCMs,
with a range of petrol and diesel stern drive options also available.
