Streaker 6.35 Commander Platinum Series
The latest addition to the Streaker range has arrived
in the form of the 6.35 Commander Platinum Series, which recently
made its debut at the Club Marine Melbourne Boat Show in July.
Featuring an entirely new hull and deck design, Streaker
says the 6.35 Commander Platinum Series delivers even more cockpit
fishing space and forward cabin room than its predecessors, making
the boat the pinnacle of the marque’s blue water fishing range.
With a large underfloor fuel tank, Yamaha 225hp outboard,
electric anchor winch, plumbed live bait and freshwater tanks and
full Lowrance electronics, Streaker has dubbed the 6.35 Commander
Platinum Series “a serious off-shore fishing weapon.”
The boat has a LOA of 6.8m and a beam of 2.5m.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42i
First unveiled in Australia at the 2007 Sanctuary
Cove International Boat Show, French builder Jeanneau claims that the
Sun Odyssey 42i encapsulates looks, technology, imagination, ground-breaking
design and cutting-edge research.
The product of collaboration between Marc
Lombard and the Jeanneau design team, the boat features a wide, twin-helm
cockpit and a full-function cockpit table. A dedicated life raft locker
and three sizeable storage lockers provide plenty of space for both short
and extended trips. Inside the SO42i, there’s a modern galley, navigation table, plenty of
seating and rich teak surrounds.
A Performance version is also available,
which comes with tri-radical cut sails made from a sandwich of Mylar
and taffeta, Dyneema running rigging, Dyform standard rigging, adjustable
Genoa cars, adjustable backstay and a profiled performance keel.
With an overall length of 42’2” (12.85m) and a beam of 13’6” (4.1m),
the Sun Odyssey 42i comes equipped with a 54hp Yanmar engine, and a fuel
capacity of 129 litres.

Aer Marine 320 Evolution
Fully designed and manufactured in Italy, the Aer Marine
320 Evolution luxury Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) has sleek European
styling and its makers claim it’s the perfect tender for the
fashion-conscious boater.
Australian importer, Waves Overseas says the 320 Evolution
has been constructed using state-of-the-art materials and techniques.
With a hull weight of just 110kg, it can be lifted aboard a larger
craft with a standard 200kg davit, its low-profile design allowing
it to slide straight into a stern locker.
The Aer Marine 320 Evolution features stainless steel
grab rails, davit lifting points, ski hooks, plush upholstery and
plenty of clever storage space. This 3.2m RIB is available in either
polymer or polyurethane and comes with a lengthy five-year warranty.

Cobalt 222
Cobalt Boats maintains that when the warmer weather rolls
around, its new Cobalt 222, with its maximum rating of 425hp, will be an
ideal tool to blast away the memories of winter.
Blending the best of comfort and performance, the Cobalt 222
boasts standard features such as an aft wet locker, ski storage locker, integrated
ice chest, engine hatch actuator, sun pad and an extended swim platform with
ladder. A stainless steel wakeboard tower is also available as an optional
extra. Further choices include an air compressor, dinette table and adjustable
seat bases.
The cockpit features high-backed captain’s chairs, newly redesigned
with additional padding throughout. The standard gauges, black leather trim
and tilt steering wheel can be upgraded with an optional rosewood package,
to add that little extra bit of luxury. To protect you and your investment,
a bimini top, bow and cockpit tonneau covers and aft walk-thru carpeting
are all included as standard features.

Doral Alegria 500
One example of the Doral Alegria 500 was sold in Australia
before the boat even made it to our waters for its ‘Down Under debut’ at
the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.
With a LOA (with platform) of 49’6” (15.9m) and a beam of 13’10” (4.22m),
the Doral Alegria 500 tips the scales at 13,636kg and offers plenty of room
to move. A number of engine formats are also available.
The cockpit is fitted with a refreshment centre, complete
with bar, pressurised water, drink holders, ice maker, fridge and garbage
can. The cockpit sound system has a six-CD changer, amplifier, subwoofer
and digital remote controls fitted on both the dash and swim platform.
The forward stateroom features a queen-size island bed, plenty
of storage, a dedicated air conditioning system and private access to the
master head and separate shower, while the boat also has another cabin and
head aft.
The fully-equipped galley comes with all the mod cons. The

Powercat 3100 Sports Cruiser
By the end of the AMIF Boat of the Year awards at the Sanctuary
Cove boat show this year, Powercat Marine’s 3100 Sports Cruiser walked
away with top awards in the Non-trailerable Cruiser over 10 Metres section.
The newly-released 2500 Sports Fisherman won the Trailerable Fishing Boat
under 10 Metres award.
Powercat says its Sports Cruisers feature unique open plan
layouts which convert easily from cruising and entertaining to offshore fishing
in a matter of minutes. As a fishing platform, the 3100 absolutely bristles
with great features designed to make any angling outing a great experience.
It boasts a good-sized, deep cockpit and enough storage options to keep any

Seaquest RP36
Sydney’s Pittwater Yacht Sales has just announced it
has secured distribution of Dubai-based Seaquest yachts. The first model
to make it to our shores is the Seaquest RP36. Billed by Seaquest as the “ultimate
racer-cruiser”, the RP36 is based on the award-winning SQ36 and redesigned
by the internationally-renowned firm, Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design.
The hull and deck are constructed from glass reinforced plastic
and an open transom provides a spacious cockpit. Wheel steering has replaced
the traditional tiller system. Seaquest claims the redesigned keel and rudder
aid speed, steering response and stability. Inside the cabin there’s ample space
for serious racing or holiday cruising and fittings that combine form with
functionality.
The Seaquest RP36 has an LOA of 11m and a maximum beam of
3.3m, with a displacement of 5100kg. A total sail area of 70.51sqm is provided,
with racing or cruising packages available. The 20hp three-cylinder Yanmar

Beneteau Oceanis 43
French boat builder, Beneteau announced that it has completed
the evolution of its 40-foot Oceanis range, replacing its popular Beneteau
Oceanis 423.
In line with the recently-released Oceanis 40, 46 and 50,
Beneteau has commissioned the Berret Racoupeau design office to design the
hull and deck plans of the Oceanis 43. The interior architecture was created
by the renowned Italian yacht designers, Nauta.
According to Beneteau, the combination of these two design
teams has lead to a boat that is aesthetically powerful and attractive. It
possesses remarkable sea-keeping abilities without compromising the vessel’s overall feeling
of comfort and well-being, says Beneteau.
The Oceanis 43 is available in two layout options, with a
choice of three cabins, two heads, or two cabins, two heads. Both versions
are powered by a 54hp engine, with a LOA of 13.13m and a beam measuring 4.12m.
